Even though we've been home almost a week now, exactly a week ago we was in the air in between Washington/Dulles DC airport and Knoxville, TN...arrived on time, we had several there to meet us, which was really nice to know people really do care. We had a motel reserved for that night, since we knew we would be really tired after we had been traveling for about 30 hours...well DH got an extra dose of air and decided to drive on home that night, arrived home about 1:30 am Friday, sat around talking for awhile, unpacking some, watching Aimee look around her new house and asking, "What's that?" We finally went to bed about 5am, must still be on China time?
Can you say soft bed? If you've never been to China, you really don't understand what a HARD bed is. I've heard people say they like sleeping on a firm mattress, well let's say how about just spreading a sheet out on the floor and trying to sleep on it. I had read from others about how the beds are..but experience is the best kind, I guess.
I don't have any updated pictures download to my computer, believe it or not, the ones that really know me. And I did buy me a new small digital camera to be able to keep it in my purse. I had just bought me a new Canon Rebel XTI a couple months before our trip, when my small camera torn up, that's the first thing DH asked me, why didn't I bring my new camera, I didn't want to take up the space??
Everything here is going great most of the time, she likes the word NO! She loves...going bye bye! Anytime we get her dressed, she says, me go bye bye. Anytime we go anywhere, me eat. I guess part of that is staying in a motel the first couple of weeks with us and everytime we left the room, we went to eat. Anyway, she's our beautiful little angel that God has given us and we're totally in love with!
She did have her first doctor appt this week, everything seems to be on schedule for her age. They will set up appt with Neurology Doctor soon, get her PT, OT and speech, and a eye appt set up. Her blood work did show her iron was a little low, chewable Flinstone vitamins with iron will fix that, here hearing is great. Now only one more poop sample to save and take the three in for testing tommorow, isn't it great being a Mom...to dig in poop?
Hope everyone is enjoying there little one's that God has blessed you with as much as we are..
Love to all, it was great getting to know you all! Maybe someday we'll get to know each other more, after we get to know our children more.
