Since my camera tore up, I've just having to write things to let you know what is happening here. Yesterday, first went to the Jade Factory, enjoyed but you get tired of shopping at their shops. But, we did decide on getting a jade family ball, which is four layers, one for each Generation of the family and we thought it would be something neat for Aimee to have in the future.
The big high light of the day was the Great Wall I think, even thou dh and I didn't climb much of it, it's just amazing thing to see and climb part of it. We did some visiting with some of the other couples & families, had a cup of coffee.
Went onto the Friendship Store(?) for lunch and more shopping. Both days for lunch we ate a places where about 8 or 10 people sit around a round table, you have a lazy susan in the center; the staff keeps bringing out plates of food, turn it around and serve yourself. The plate they give you to put your food onto is about the size of a saucer at home and you get one glass of drink with a meal; the glass is about the size of a small orange juice glass at the Waffle House in US.
We also did a drive-thru tour of the Olympic Aquatic Center and the Bird's Nest.
The Acrobat Show we skipped the night before we took in last night. It was a amazing show, dh and I was in the 4th roll so good close sitting. All of the entertainers was amazing what they can do with their bodies. Barbara (our guide) told us they where from a different Province, they start training them at about the age of 3 years old.
I was until about getting everything packed away, seperating money, etc. for the most IMPORTANT part of our trip to China, our daughter! The tours, shopping, etc. has been enjoyable...but we're so ready to have her in our arms. It's only about 16 hours now before that happens. As always keep us in your prayers!
Love to all!
