The Bridges we crossed to get to the Forbidden City.
Ni Hao from China..we did a lot of touring today, can you say tired? Left motel at 8:30 am, toured all day until about 6pm, with the traffic we finally made it back to the motel about 7pm. I sure needed my diet coke fix; so us and other couple from our group walked across the street to the Merry Store (sp?), interesting, us four was the only people in there that wasn't from here I think. Then, we walked on down the street to McDonalds to grab a bite to carry back to our room. On the menu posted it showed your could get french fries or a cup of corn. How would you like a cup of corn with your Big Mac? YUM! DH ordered Sprite with his meal, he kept on trying to tell them a Sprite, they remade it four times, he gave up. When we got back to our room, he had no ICE in his drink, maybe that is what they thought he was trying to say.
Now a few things about our day of touring, Started out with the Forbitten City and Tinnamen Square, enjoyed it. The building were so beautiful built so long ago. All was going great until my camera broke, and all who knows me, knows how that went with me...not good! Barbara, our CCAI guide helped me to find a one time camera, $23.00 american dollars. And they say things are cheaper here. Oh well!
the two pictures just alike are of our Hotel Lobby, Quianmen Jianguo and of course we had to share a McDonald's in China with everyone.
