Consulate Appointment

Finally we received word today we have CA and couldn't have come soon enough for all of our travel group #1462. We got our flights booked this afternoon. I'm so glad at least that part is over with. We have to be in Knoxville airport at 4am on March 4, nothing like a early start to the day...

We had to have polio shots today and I had to have chicken pox shot today and while waiting to them to get us in, I talked with CCAI and our travel agent back and forth on the phone. Then had a hair appointment, during that time got another call from CCAI saying everything looked good on our schedule from travel agent, go for it and get the flights booked.

My stress level is at the top right now! Praise to the Lord that it is all falling into place. Hopefully a good night of sleep now..

Nite...Nite...sleep tight and don't let the bed bugs bite..

Sleepless Nights in TN

It's almost 1am and I'm wide awake...there is so much running through my head. I've looked at everyone's blog to see what they are posting, looking at all the precious children that the Lord is giving us all. I hope everyone is resting in their bed better than I am. I've even started washing clothes a little earlier.

God Bless and Keep all safe!

I had already requested for my leave from work, and it is falling as I had guested the dates I needed off. So, I have one more week to work after this; be off work for my 12 weeks family leave and then Summer off since I work for the school system.

Child Development Chart

When we got home from the Doctor's office, had a email from CCAI to say they had a update of Aimee's development. Well, to say the least she's growing. Weight: 39.6 lbs(18 kg) Head 18.5 inches(47 cm) Chest 22.5 inches(57 cm) Height 43 inches(109 cm) Feet 7.25 inches(18 cm) Teeth: Full Health Status: Healthy. So glad to get this update...we're so ready to get our Travel Approval..

We was both really happy with the consult, she was super nice and really seems like she cares about Aimee.

Good Morning!

I took a day off work today and for some reason I'm up this early which is crazy. I woke up coughing, like I have the last few nights, so I decided to get up and take something for that and stay up. I've already been up for about a hour, to early on a off day! Anyway, the reason I took off work today, is we have a appointment with Aimee's pediatrician this morning at 9am. This was the only appointment time I could get with her, because she takes more time with the new patients/parents. We've heard good things about her, she has two China angels also. Some of the parents that was at the Chinese New Year celebration we went to, just loves her as a physician. I pray that we will love her as much, also Aimee will feel comfortable with her. Please, Pray for this and also our Travel Approval will get here in a hurry! I want to have her in my arms so bad!

Visas are here~~~~YEA!

Our visas where delivered today by UPS, but first I checked UPS tracking detail yesterday to see why they hadn't been delivered, here's what it said, "Package incorrect routing at UPS facility/the package was missorted at the hub. It has been rerouted to correct destination site." The other day when I got word the Embassy had made a mistake on our Visas, I was almost in tears. When I read the UPS record, I couldn't help but let out a little laugh. The Lord helps us to laugh instead of crying when things go bad, he is in control of all things!

P.S. Isn't she the cutest little sweetie? Mommy thinks so!

Is your glass half-full or half-empty?

When we got news the other day, they had messed up on our Visas, I was in the mood of our glass being half-empty at that moment. Then I got a email from Laura at The Assistant Stork, that she was praying over the situation, and this is what she heard from God, he had them there to see the mistakes. Imagine if we had used a courier who isn't as nit-picky as they are, we would have had problems on our travel day. So, really God is blessing us and watching over us.

Visas

Boy, the devil never leaves his job, anything he can do to hurt us and bring us down, he's there. We should have received our Visas on Thursday of this past week, they didn't come or Friday either. So today I sent a email to see what was going on, I sure didn't want our Passports or Visas lost. This is the email answer I got back:
The Chinese Embassy made a mistake on your visa. They would not correct them while we waited. Friday, we tried to pick them up again, they were still wrong! We complained to the Consul. He said we can pick the corrected Visas on Monday.

If you believe in prayer like we do, PLEASE! Say a special prayer for our Visas.

Good Nite and blessings to all!

Happy Maio Maio (Fiona)

Faith this picture was shared to me of MM and Aimee (LeLe) eating ice cream February 2008 and I thought you would like to see it also. This was Aimee's first ice cream! Are they so happy together? I Love it!

USCIS!!!

Makes me so mad! We got a letter from them yesterday wanting a letter from the petitioner to submit a request for our I-171 to be changed to special needs, they have the updated home study, home study addendum for special needs. With Luck I came straight home from work yesterday afternoon and got the letter out of the mail box, I rushed in typed up a detail letter and sent them a copy of so much stuff, so hopefully it will be everything they need. Drove like a MAD WOMAN to town to get it sent out priorty mail. They should have it in you little hands on Monday?? We was re-fingerprinted on January 15, 2009. SO PLEASE PRAY FOR US THAT EVERYTHING WILL FALL INTO PLACE! The devil tries to really do anything to hurt us and knows when it comes to your children it really hurts.

Anyway I hope everyone has a great Saturday and remember to worship the Lord somewhere this week.

SNOW???

We didn't get alot of snow yesterday..but at least enough to them to call school off today..YEA!! They were more worried about the freezing moisturre on the roads. Anyway I'm enjoying my day off. I've been going thru some more of my closet, it's amazing what a person can store in one closet. I haven't posted any pictures lately, so I thought I would post one of DH and I on our cruise during Spring Break 2008; our last cruise to be taken without our precious little one. For some reason the picture would not upload? This afternoon I listened in on the travel conference call by our adoption agency. They shared alot of information with us, seems like there will be alot of us traveling at the same time. I'm ready to travel right now. I'm so glad to have all of our new friends thru this adoption process, it's amazing the true hearts people share with each other. I've been working the last few days of getting paperwork filled out for health insurance, education forms, family leave from work..by the time everything is dones..I'll never want to see another form, just kidding...gotta laugh about it..or we would cry. Thank You Lord for another blessed day..God is so good!!

Tuesday 1/27; not much happenings, worked and did alot of web surfing when I got home for any more information about China, traveling to China, other adoptive parents,etc.. Wed 1/28: When I got off work, James and I headed to Chattanooga, he had a doctor appointment. Then stopped by the UPS store to get our Visas sent out to assistant stork (we should get them back about Thursday of this week..yahoo!!!) We got home and checked our emails and was so excited that she enjoys her photo book we sent her,she had she likes one of the teddy bears we had sent her in her 1st care package we sent her. Thursday 1/29; this day was my Mother's 74th Birthday, (My mother is a very special important person in my life) James had another doctor appointment that afternoon, his blood pressure has been going up lately, she added some meds a couple weeks ago and it's coming back down to normal..Praise the Lord!! But while we was there I had Dr Turnbough go over some papers we had recieved from CCAI about our childhood immunizations, she sent us over for Hepatitis A vacine and for blood work to make sure our child hood immunizations where still good. James was thrilled about this, he doesn't like shots..then I dropped him off at home and headed to my weight watchers meeting, I had a small gain. Saturday 1/31 I picked up Mother from her house and we stopped at a couple stores before we met the ladies from church for lunch. Had a nice time with everyone. Of course, everyone was asking questions about Aimee LeLe and that is my favorite subject to talk about right now. Later on in the afternoon, we met the rest of our family for a birthday dinner for Mother. Sunday 2/1;Good church service, the Holy Spirit was there, if we all would learn to listen..the kids from 3 years old to 10 years old sang our special music this morning, they did great. They sang "How Great Is Our God" And finally I'm up to date..today 2/2; When I left for work this morning, it was raining, after day light it turned in to Snow, we got big ole' snow flakes, it was so pretty, it covered the gound, we had started to serving the kids lunch, so we had to feed them all...I mean..we fed some kids quick..You talk about stress...they called school to let out at 12:30, buses was to pick them up, parents were everywhere because they wanted to make sure there kids was going to make it home...I hope I haven't bored everyone to death. I met a new blog friend today...hello Amy

Busy Week!!

It's been a crazy busy week, but it will be all worth it when we get Aimee in our arms. I'll write a little then get ready for church and try to write more later. Let's see...Friday, 1/23; headed to the bank to have more papers notarized for CCAI. Saturday, 1/24..I worked on our master bath and my closet cleaning out, making piles for keep and sent to Goodwill. Hopefully I'll get more of this done before we head to China, there is so much stuff I need to go through. I've got some pack rat blood in me...like mother like daughter (ask my mother). Then that afternoon, we met some other China adoptive parents from the area for a Chinese dinner for Chinese New Year. Everyone was so friendly and excited for us. We was the only parents there that didn't have their child yet, they all knew what we was going through..so they where more excited with us than most people. All the kids were so precious! Everyone wanted to look at pictures, of course everyone said how beautiful she is! Thank You Lord for another wonderful day! Sunday, 1/25..during the Sunday morning service I shared my testament of how the Lord has worked in my life thru this adoption, how wonderful he is but yet everything is done on his time. We have a Great God! More later today..hopefully!
