Our beautiful Daughter

We think she is the most beautiful girl in the world...of course that's a parents right! Her eyes are amazing as you can see by the last two pictures. She's getting so brave on her swing set she got for us being home for one month, she loves to hang upside down. The first one is of her leaning up against a tree in our yard, which is a beautiful print in black and white also.

Can you say proud Mommy? The Lord is so good!

Mother's Day

This was my first Mother's Day for my own child and felt so blessed for this. This morning I woke up so happy laying there thinking of this being my first Mother's Day and how happy I was and how thankful I am to have my own Mother still with me. DH was laying next to me and asked "Has Mother been dead 1 year and a month" I answered him with "No, it won't be a year and month until the 18th of this month." Then it hit me, how selfish I was being, thinking of how happy I was of being a Mother myself, then I realized how much my own DH was hurting of not having his Mother to celebrate this special day with us. I could not even think of what he is feeling, thinking of how special my own Mother is to me! I pray for him and his brothers and sisters for being without their Mother, Lord lift them up and ease their aching hearts.

Gotcha Day

two months ago, we received Aimee in our arms, it was amazing at that moment, she was ours and will be ours forever! God is so good! Praise the Lord! Sometimes I think about it and it seems longer and sometimes it feels like only yesterday she come into our lives in person, not only by a picture, email, etc...

Trips to Chattanooga 3 days straight

Aimee trying on Mommy's glasses notice the upside down she likes to wear them.

and these 3 people are tired! Monday, DH had doctor appt. Tuesday, Aimee had Neuro appt, which he is thinking Cerebral Palsy; not Spina Bifida. With the type of surgery they did on her spine in China, that is done for CP no SB. He's confused of want is going on in her right arm...he said he wouldn't give a for sure diagnosis until he gets all of the test results back. He ordered a MRI, they called this morning and can not get her in until August 15th, which I feel is crazy..but oh well. The doctor will be there when it is done, he may do something to her himself while she is put to sleep. That is one of the reasons it's taking so long to get an appt because they only do MRI's and putting children to sleep on Friday's...crazy I know. That afternoon she had PT, they took a closer look at her arm because of the doctor request, they're thinking none use not nerve damage, we'll see.

Yesterday she decided she was LeLe again not Aimee, which I have read that is normal for a child to do this. It broke my heart at first because it made me think she wasn't happy here. I don't know if other parents are having these emotions like I am. I just pray alot. She has done so wonderful, I guess I want her to be happy at all times and deep down in my heart I know there is know way in the world that will happen. I think of everything she has been thru in her young life and think she should be completely happy with the rest of her life...of course we love her so much we don't like to see her hurt in any way. So far today she's hasn't mentioned she is LeLe.

Plus last night she got upset over we don't know what and she cried for about 30 minutes, and she's not the type to cry for anything. Which I'm glad she's showing her emotions but yet it breaks my heart also, if that makes any sense. Of course we spent from 1:30pm to 4:30pm waiting for DH to have x-rays and mri...so she was so tired.

Please keep your prayers coming for our family and the other adoptive families!

Just a few pictures from the last few weeks

The picture of her sitting on the quarter horse was made before I put the 25cents in, she didn't want any part of it when it started bucking, I couldn't help but laugh at her, at first she was ok when she was sitting there holding onto me. She loves our horses and cows at home and not afraid of them. But she is still kind of afraid of our dog and cat. The other day she was out at the barn with DH and took a hold of one of our horses tail, he just stood there and looked around at her. It scared Daddy when he saw what she was doing! We're amazed how gentle he has been with her.

The haircut picture if her getting her first haircut in US, when I told her we was going to get our haircut, she looked at me and showed me her fingers on her hair of us cutting her hair real short, she felt better about it when she saw only a trim was happening.

Her Physical therapy appointments have started, she doesn't mind them at all, because they make it fun for the kids. She's still shy around them since she's only had two sessions. Her Neurology appointment is in the morning bright and early. Hopefully they will be able to let us know her diagnosis more.

Sending prayers and thoughts to other adoptive parents. And praying your time with your little ones had been as wonderful as hours, even with her being hard headed; she fits right in with us.

Here Comes Peter Cotton Tail

This is our first Easter Bunny picture of our beautiful daughter, it really wasn't a planned picture, but while we was in Chattanooga today, Aimee and I met up with my best friend from high school and she had several of her grandchildren with her and that is where they was headed, so we followed. Most of the kids was dressed up for the bunny picture, as you can see she wasn't..but that's ok. I asked her when we got in line, Do you want to go see the Easter Bunny, she grinned and said yes! I was really glad, she walked up there and I picked her up to sit on his lap.
After that we went to a inside playground in the mall, she played so hard! Was running around, jumping, sliding, crawling thru the crawl spaces..of course Mommy had her camera with her and was following her around snapping pictures.
DH, Aimee and I spend the evening with DH familiy; one of his sisters cooked supper for us all. Out of the 7 brothers and sisters of DH, there was five of them there. It was really nice to see them all together. Some of them was the first time seeing Aimee. She played with them and had a blast! There has been alot of first in her life since she came into our life.
Tommorow we're having our Easter egg hunt at church after the morning service, of course we will have to eat there also...we're Baptist don't ya know..
Hopefully I will start writing more often to keep everyone updated on our Beautiful daughter!
